Our area needs a Project Lifesaver program for children with autism and adults with dementia. Not only is this a FREE program through grants, it enables law enforcement to recover loved ones in a safe and timely manner. The closet PLP is almost 50 miles away and does not reach into Bell & Coryell counties. Please help bring the Project Lifesaver program into our area!

The Police Department recently researched the program. We will forward your idea back to them for review, as I am uncertain of their conclusion.

Barbara - We were able to confirm the Police Department has been in contact with Project Lifesaver in reference to bringing the program to the community. PD personnel continue to explore grant possibilities through the program itself, Federal Law Enforcement grants, as well as through the National Autism Association. Their research had indicated this a fantastic program and they are making every attempt to bring it to the community in the near future.

Awesome! THANK YOU! Did the PD give any indication of when that might happen?  Is there a POC at the PD that I can stay in contact with about this project?
