The Texas Department of Transportation State Highway 9 project was designed and constructed to relieve traffic congestion on the Highway 190 corridor. The highway was officially completed on February 20, 2014, and has since opened for public travel. We are looking for feedback on your thoughts of this completed project.

I have recommended the new route to anyone coming to visit me, I love that there are no lights and no train when I am just going straight to the base. Great job on the team who did the work!

The list of those involved in making the project happen are too long to list...but the City had some great support on this one.

Consider putting some rumble strips on the FM 116 end to alert inattentive drivers to the stop sign.

Good suggestion. We will forward the concern to TxDOT for consideration.

Currently only benefits those heading or living on Gatesville side. Doesn't cut down semi's going through Cove to Lampasas as I thought was originally a claim made early on.

The Southeast Bypass should bring more relief for the Lampasas traffic Chris.

In town this morning, I saw a HUGE swarm of traffic coming from Ogletree Gap area! I've got a feeling the Southeast Bypass will get a little more traffic than Hwy 9.
