Discussion: Easter Egg Round-Up

Each year the Parks and Recreation Department hosts the Easter Egg Round-Up event at the City Park. The morning usually consists of various age brackets being sent out in search of eggs, as well as the strategically placed special prizes. This year the event will be held on April 12, 2014 from 9:00am – 10:00am and we are still in the planning process.

Topic: Activities

Are there any other Easter activities you would like to see coincide with this particular event at the City Park?

Have the city pay a photographer to take free family Easter photos, breakfast with the Easter bunny at the Civics center prior to the hunt, why does the fun have to be only for the kids? What about rated G adult fun?

Those sound like great ideas Kerri. We will forward them to the Parks/Rec division for consideration. Thank you.

I like the sound of breakfast with the Easter bunny. Proceeds go to improving the city park maybe? How about an egg race? That's something for all ages and easy to split into groups based on age so the knee-biters aren't left in the dust by adults. Not really an Easter activity but I'd love to see some kites flying that day, too.
